Cyber Criminals May Use Drones to Hack Secure Communications, Warns Expert

Cybersecurity experts are raising the alarm over a new and dangerous trend: drones being used by cybercriminals to hack into secure communication systems, including military operations and critical infrastructure.

Dr. Samar Ansh, a renowned cyber crime expert affiliated with the Cyber Security Council, NY and an authority on the dark web, warns that “drones are no longer just surveillance tools — they’re becoming mobile cyberattack platforms capable of intercepting encrypted data, jamming frequencies, or even launching Wi-Fi spoofing attacks on high-security sites.”

According to recent intelligence reports, hackers are now equipping drones with compact hacking tools and signal interception devices, allowing them to fly over or near secure facilities to exploit vulnerabilities in wireless networks, including those used by defense, government, and emergency services.

🔐 Key Threats Identified:

  • Interception of military and tactical communications
  • Hijacking of Wi-Fi and private network signals
  • Real-time surveillance and data leakage
  • Use of drones in cyber-espionage missions

🚨 Dr. Ansh urges defense agencies, airports, and high-security sites to adopt anti-drone technology, including jamming systems, drone detection radar, and enhanced network encryption.

Cybersecurity is now airborne, and the threat landscape is evolving faster than ever,” he stated.
